Tuxedo Park

Befitting the Tuxedo Park enclave, the architecture of this new family home by D. Stanley Dixon and landscape by Howard Design Studio is formal yet fulfills the dreams and imagination of the client for twenty-first-century living. The four-acre parcel provides the space and topographical variety for a gracious entry drive and court at the front and an Olympic-sized pool, long cabana, breeze-catching back porch, and entertaining terraces to the rear. A thatched folly tucked into a corner of the expansive side lawn draws the eye while copper, lead, and stone planters filled with clipped boxwood frame and delineate views. Verdant and sophisticated, the garden wraps the stone residence with exquisitely detailed moments and larger gestures of grading and perspective.
